You're 50 Now What?

There are repeatable quests called dailies that can be done once per day (reset at 7 am EST everyday). They give you a decent amount of credits (7k to 14k per quest) and currency called Daily Commendations that can be used to purchase Rakata level implants, earpiece, armoring and hilt/barrel that are of tier 23 epic quality (purple).

The Rakata stuff costs 120 daily commendations and the armoring/hilt/barrel costs 8 daily commendations each.

There are two vendors in the Imperial Market in on the Ilum base that sells these, they are called mission support vendors.

Ilum: To start them, you need to finish your class quest first. Doing so will give you a quest called FIRST STRIKE that ask you to report to the Imperial fleet and this quest will direct you to Ilum for its quest series. The quest series itself is fairly short but the mobs are tougher so be prepared to spend 2-3 hrs to finish them off. Each quest will give you 3 daily commendations and unlock daily missions on Ilum.

Belsavis: Belsavis also have a bonus series that opens up. The entire bonus series will also take 2-3 hrs and will unlock daily missions on Belsavis. Unlike the Ilum series, this bonus series do not reward daily commendations.

Below is a list of all the dailies on Ilum/Belsavis.

The Twin Snakes...

Keldo in talks with a guild of the same name led by Beerzgilla.  COBRA from Shadowfire will merge with COBRA from Flurry.  This just makes sense.  More people in a guild and a better chance to get all on the same server.  COBRA Guild launch page: HERE!

Interesting. Its been a while but thanks to all the Sony nonsense on the web and their lack of security. You can now play SWG for 45 days for free. So what happened when I signed onto Shadowfire after all this time? I went to Theed and saw no one, I went to Mos Eisley and saw 3 players. Sadness. I also have no idea what skills to setup and use.

You also get some free server transfers if your toons still exist too. Its been a while since I played and looking back the graphics are pretty awful, but back 7 years ago they looked good. I talked to Vennok tonight the second time I logged on. Man it's been a long time. I miss the gang in SWG alot. Good times

Recruiting

Recruiting for all classes. Working on guild structure and rules to post later. Site is progressing, but I get a bit nit-picky with the layout so it may change often until someone tells me to stop. Check out our "Joining COBRA Page"

The Guild.....

And so it begins.  As the unknown countdown clock is ticking away we wait for a release date.  Until then I simply post here to say something about nothing.  I'm sure I will have more to say in the coming weeks.  Im mostly just setting this blog up and getting some things for guild ready.  It could be 6 months before we even get the game in our hands or downloaded (whatever they are planning @ EA).

Voice Chat Server and Requirements

COBRA uses Mumble which is an open-source voice-over IP application similar to Ventrilo and Teamspeak 3.  Mumble has many nice features like a game overlay that allows you see whom is talking and priority speakers for those moments where coordination and a clear voice channel is needed.

COBRA uses Mumble for its voice-chat.  Voice chat is always available and free.  For COBRA's server details check out our private forums for IP address and connection port.

COBRA does not require the use of its voice-chat server, but it does really help.  If you are a bit shy and don't want to talk, you can at least log-in to hear the action.  Raids, Flashpoints and PvP will make heavy use of Mumble with the guild.

For the hearing-impaired, we will make every effort to include you and plan for such moments if they are needed.  Everyone should be able to enjoy The Old Republic and we want to make sure you can too while as a member of COBRA
